Dr. Bushra Haq is an accomplished Data Scientist and Machine Learning researcher based in Quetta, Balochistan, with over 18 years of experience spanning academia, research, and ICT education. She serves as Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Information & Communication Technology, BUITEMS, where she has been mentoring graduate and undergraduate students since 2017. She recently completed her PhD in Data Science and Environmental Computing at BUITEMS. Her research contributions span machine learning, deep learning, remote sensing, wireless sensor networks, and geospatial analytics. She is serving as Research Associate at the Spatial Decision Support System Lab (SDSSL), developing frameworks in Geo-Health, Geo-Forensics, and Mineral Inventory and working in the UK–Pakistan research initiative “Empowering a Low-Carbon Future” as Research Resource Person, advancing AI, IoT, and digital twin technologies aligned with UN Sustainable Development Goals. She has previously contributed to the British Council and HEC-funded DePWiSeN project, building AI and WSN-based solutions for deforestation monitoring across Pakistan. Her expertise in data science, algorithm development, scientific writing, and cross-institutional collaboration is reflected in numerous publications across IEEE, Springer, and other reputed international journals and conferences.
